A few months ago I was invited to preach at Silverado Cowboy Church. As I began to be still and try to listen to the Lord for direction for what to speak on this is what He gave me.
LOVE
**To thrive on; need** True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be or will not be!
I Corinthians 13:13 says "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.
So is the Lord saying that the greatest thing you can do is thrive on HIM, need HIM?
Luke 10:27 says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all you strength and with all your mind." So let's read it like this: "Thrive on, need the Lord your God with all So what is the definition of thrive?
your soul and with all you strength and with all your mind."
Now lets dig a little deeper. What does thrive mean: Grow vigorously; make steady progress; be at a high point.
Now what does need mean: Something that is necessary for organisms to live a healthy life. Needs are distinguished from wants because a deficiency would cause a clear negative outcome.....
Have you ever stepped away from God? Maybe not even on purpose. For me it was a definite negative outcome.
So if I am hearing what your saying Sir... I't not about what we do, it's about what you did!!!
John 3:16-17 says "For God so LOVED the world (us) that HE gave HIS only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" Cause love isn't really love till you give it away....
I believe He created us for Himself to Love!!
