We had quite a diverse group of people there this year. The ones I want to share with you are the children, imagine that...
There's nothing I love much more than listening to children laugh and play. There is a play ground and sitting area with a fire ring right outside my bungalow window. Every morning I would wake to the sound of children laughing and playing on the merry-go-round Ron built. Every night I would go to sleep with the sounds of people enjoying the camp fire and visiting and yes children laughing.
Ron & Lorna thanked me more than once for coming. All the while all I could think of was how I should be thanking them, and I did.
Friday night we sang and had a service in the barn. There were two young women with their little girls and their mother there. They sat up at the front to the right side of me. I had not met them and had only heard a little of their story. Mind you I have to hear it more than once for it to stick in my mind, LoL. Anyway as I was singing the babies began to dance. The mother's would get up and pick them up to stop them and they would get right back down and dance some more. If you know me at all, you know that did not bother me. I love to watch them and the way they were dancing you could tell that they were feeling the Lord in their little spirits. I told the Moms please don't worry about it they are not bothering me, I love it!! There was also another little girl there with them. She didn't know the other two little girls, but they all acted as if they did.
Well come to find out those women are from Morocco and they know very very little English. The children and grandmother don't really know any. I was told that they are Muslims. The mothers would set in the services and cry not even knowing what was being said. I was so drawn to them. They always had a smile for me.
I guess what I'm trying to relate to y'all is when you are drawn by the Spirit of the Lord words don't matter...
When we were saying good bye to everyone Sunday afternoon, that's when I realized they didn't understand what I was saying. But everyone understands LoVe. One of the little girls even blew me a kiss.
I'm so grateful that the Lord will let me be used in such a way. To allow me to love on His kids. To sing His praises to His people. To share Jesus with them and watch folks accept Him as their Savior. People who have been in church their whole lives and didn't know they had to ask Him in. Thank you, thank you, thank you Sir for allowing me to be a part of these things.
Well I hope this made sense. There was so much more that happened there it would take a week to tell you all of it. I just want to thank you all for your prayers and financial support. We couldn't do what we do without you. When we go we take you with us in our hearts...
LoVe ya'll,
BlessingS
