Head Up??
Are you sure it was a test... Or was He giving you a head up?

Do you ever wonder if when God shows you the meaning of something it might be about to happen? You know, like I wrote a blog the other day about everythings all fun until it doesn't go your way. The very next day I had to use what He had shown me the day before. So was He preparing me? It's not the first time this has happened. I was just thinking how awesome it was to see that particular thing. I don't think I realized He was preparing me ahead of time. Now I'm certain He was!!

I wonder how much He tries to tell me and I'm not still enough to hear.... Forgive me Sir. I'm gonna try to listen closer. Thanks for loving me so much. Thank You for the Head Up!!

Psalm 138:8

Its all fun till things don't go our way.

I was thinking about how our minds think. When things are going our way our attitudes are usually pretty good. When things begin not to go exactly the way we want them to what happens?? We usually get a bad attitude and begin to loose out faith. What we have to learn and practice is maintaining our thought process. Not being affected by the situation that's happening at the moment. Knowing that God has promised to take care of us. I said HE has promised to take care of us!!!! I'm not sayin it's easy at first, that's why I said we have to practice. We have spent a lot of years getting this stinkin thinkin established. It's gonna take a while to renew our minds. We have to find out what God's Word has to say about the situation and believe it. That means know and trust Him that He is a man of His Word.

Just because it doesn't happen when you think it will, doesn't mean it won't happen if you'll just keep believing....

Psalm 138:8

The Bible says: If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
(II Chronicles 7:14 NKJV)

So why don't we do just that? It's because we aren't full of His Word. We have been taught to panic in every situation that comes up. Where in the Bible does it tell us to panic? You won't find it in there anywhere! If you dare to look you will see repeatedly to have peace.... So now that we know that we have to practice trusting Him. Learning through His Word that He is always to be trusted.

Find a scripture that agrees with you and use that thang!!!! You all know mine is Psalm 138:8. It makes sense to me and it works for me!

Psalm 138:8

Well the day came. We were suppose to be there by 9 to check in and surgery was suppose to be at 11. They get me all dolled up (as you can see below, LoL) and poked and even bruised me and we waited. And we waited some more. Finally the doctor came in and spoke to me and then the anesthesiologist. He told me they were running about an hour behind. Then he came back an hour later and said it would be another hour. I don't know about you, but I don't wait good on a NORMAL basis and this wasn't remotely normal to me. He began to explain that there was a man in surgery that had had a hernia for over 50 years and it was taking longer to fix it than they thought it would. Well I immediately started praying. I knew without a doubt that's why i was there. It wasn't anytime at all they came back to get me.
Well once they gave me the goofy juice I don't remember much of anything until i was in the recovery room. As i was waking up I remember tell the nurse my belly hurt, then the next thing I remember she was jerking the sheet up and stabbed me in the leg. Girlie said I whined about it and wanted to know why they didn't put that in my IV. To be honest I'm still whining about it, I think they must have hit the bone...LoL. Anyway they were loading me up in the truck by 5 o'clock that afternoon to bring me home.

I want to thank my precious kids, Hannah, Josh and Girlie for going with me. Amber and my Smiles came the next day and stayed for a few days. I know all that babyin and sugars was a huge part of the reason I recovered so fast. I'm back on my feet and feeling pretty good. I still am working on getting my endurance back, but I'm better everyday.  I'm so grateful for they way the Lord orchestrated even having to have surgery. I was able to plan for it. My kids could be there with me instead of having to depend on others or maybe even being out of town when it happened. He provided all the finances to take care of all the expenses. I so appreciate all your prayers too. All is well with my soul...

Just thought y'all might want the low down, so I decided to catch y'all up!

Oh and by the way...this proves my theory that clothes are everything...bahahaha

When someone we love is gone it hurts deep.

I remember when Jeff first left I felt like I could barely breath. You go through all kinds of stages. I was numb, then mad, then so sad...

I felt like The Lord showed me its like a deep cut. At first it's really raw. Then after a while you start to get a scab on it. You begin to feel a little better at this point. Then something will happen, it could just be a passing memory, and the scab will get knocked off. Then the healing has to start all over again. That cut won't heal over night, will it? You have to take care of it. We have to guard it and doctor it. Then one day you'll notice it doesn't hurt quite so bad, and maybe you can even breath a little easier now when something touches it.

What I guess I'm trying to say is its gonna take some time. God will help us with this IF we will let Him.

I know from experience how bad it hurts. I just want to encourage you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You will breath again, you will laugh again, you will love again. You will always remember them and miss them. There will even come a day when the memories will make you smile...

Just hang on tight to God and let Him doctor that hurt and you'll make it, I promise!

Psalm 138:8

Starting last Sunday and repeating yesterday, two very young men were taken from us. I can't make any sense of it. My first thoughts are always what a waste. Then I try to get still and listen. I know God did not take them. Always remember that the theif comes to kill steal and destroy and He came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. I for one do not have all the answers, but He does. I've chosen to hold tight to Him no matter what comes my way.

The Bible says "We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." (II Corinthians 5:8 NKJV) 

No matter how old or how young, how long they have been ill or how suddenly they are taken we are never ready for them to leave.... Knowing that both young men were saved gives me great peace. I know that they are with Jesus. If we really believe what the Bible says about heaven then it will bring us that amazing peace we will need to go forward.

This is a hard time for everyone. We are going to miss these young men till we get our own heavenly promotion. Just please don't run from Him.... Run to Him

Psalm 138:8

When we were kids and even when my kids were little Easter was one of our big family holidays. We would cook a big ole dinner, a lot like Christmas, and buy new Easter dresses and color eggs. The whole family would show up and we'd spend the day hiding and hunting Easter eggs after church.

Well that didn't happen for me this year. To be honest it hasn't happened in a few years. Well I called Amber and told Lu and Girlie "I'm taking My Easter back"! Amber said lets just plan a bigN for next year then Mom.

So mark your calendar it's gonna be a Easter shindig here next year!! LoL

I hope y'all had a blessed Easter this year. Mine wasn't all bad. I got to go to my home church with my Lu and my Girlie. Oh and I got to sang. Then we went to lunch together after. Josh came over after he got off work and I got hugs and sugars... I really do have a blessed life!!
