The first year the Young Pro Team went to Salmon, ID, I remember Ms. Bitsy and Mr. Bob waiting for us. As we pulled into the fairgrounds there they were with big smiles and hugs for all of us. I will never as long as I live forget that. We never felt so loved. It had been a long trip and we were exhausted. I can remember how that energized me.... Thank you Ms. Bitsy!!
Today while we were waiting for the Joshua Tree Youth Group to arrive. Lu made us a welcome sign. We met them at their vehicles with big smiles and hugs. It really wasn't for them tho, it was for me. I am so very grateful that they are here. We were all set up and ready to go by lunch. What a blessing to watch them smile as they do things with joy that I find to be a job. I love watching their faces as they learn new things about the western world. I know they will be a blessing to us with their talents this week too. They brought their band with them. I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for us.
I hope the welcome made them feel the same way I did those years ago in Salmon, ID. I hope that they know God honors their giving of their spring break to His service. I believe good things are about to happen, I can hardly wait....
