Proverbs 4:20-23 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick (alive), and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
In Mark 4:14 Jesus tells us the Word is seed. He said, “the sower soweth the Word”. God’s Word is seed which has life (power) within itself to produce the benefits contained in the covenant.
Psalms 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
One of those benefits is health. Not just healing, but health. Isaiah 53:, 1 Peter 2:24 tells us Jesus took all of man’s physical ailments on His own body, so we don’t have to suffer them.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Physical ailments of all kinds are a curse. Jesus has redeemed all mankind from the curse which is spiritual death, sickness & disease and poverty. Notice that He has already redeemed (paid the price) so we can live free of the curse. All we have to do is receive it by faith. The God kind of faith that comes by hearing the good news of the gospel. (Romans 10:17)
We are back to Proverbs 4:20-23 to get our instructions on how the Word can be health to us.
1. Attend to the Word. (Give the Word your attention and be a doer of it.)
2. Incline your ears to the sayings of the Word. (That is how the God kind of faith comes)
3. Let the images that the Word produces not depart from you.
4. Keep the Word at the center of your thoughts.
The Words will be life to those that find them and health (medicine) to all their flesh (body).
Keep your heart (soul) with all diligence; for out of it are the issues (forces) of life.
BE BLESSED, HEALTHY, WHOLE, AND PROSPEROUS, in Jesus’ name.
