I usually don't let the weather reports effect me. This morning when I read on Facebook that ALL storm spotters in Palo Pinto County HAVE been activated, something stirred inside me. I told Lu I was gonna call Girlie and see if I could take OBB and put her under their carport. Girlie said of course. In the mean time my son, Josh, texted me and said mom you might want to take your truck and get it under an overpass till the storm passes. I said I'm headed to your house. So off we go before the rain has really gotten hard. Lu is in the pickup ahead of me. She goes thru the electric gate just fine. I'm not very far behind her, but I see Josh's dog Maggie laying at the gate. I hit the gate opener and it open partially and then the wind hit. It wouldn't open enough for me to get thru. UGH So I get out in the rain and turn it off and unhood the hootie and fuss at Maggie to go back to the house. I pull thru the gate and get out and shut it and fuss at Maggie to go back home again. I drive off and see that Maggie is following me. I then go to the stop sign and turn around because I am concerned about her. Well there she is laying on the side of the road. I go back to the gate and sit in my truck and wait for the rain to slow up. By this time the wind is really blowing and its thundering and lightning...Well at least Maggie went back to the house, right? So I decided I will go to the overpass and sit till it passes. I couldn't really see what was happening from under there. I do know that it was very dark and it rained like crazy and other people came to sit under there and big semi's pulled over too. Well it finally eased up and I felt like I should go home and Lu came home and then the bottom fell out!!!! We only saw about three or four tiny tiny little hail stones tho. Praise the Lord.
I guess now that I've told you all of that. We are people of faith, but sometimes that means going to set under the overpass if HE tells you too. Sometimes it means staying at the house and believing that God will cause the storm to go around you. So.....we have to listen for the voice of the Lord and try as best we can to be obedient to HIM.....even if it's not something we would normally do. THANK YOU SIR!!! BlessingS and stay safe out there, I sure do love y'all!! Carol/MJ Psalm 138:8
