After getting to go and watch them make the sounds traxs for the new project I sure listen to the music differently. It was so interesting to watch them all sit down in the studio and play a song together. Then one by one they would tell the engineer what part they wanted to play over. Then he would punch them in, as they call it, and it would be perfect, without having to play the whole song over. Then I went back and did the vocals. Now the back up singers are added to it. Then the engineer mixes it all together and viola a song is born. I guess it really goes a little further back than that though doesn't it? The lyrics have to be written and a melody composed. Wow and you just thought we got up and sang, LOL!!
Now when I'm even listening to the radio, I can hear the different sounds that make up the entire song. I think this might be a lot like life actually as I think about it. We start out doing the simplest of things, learning to walk, to talk, to do things for ourselves. Then in the end when it all comes together if we have kept at it........it sounds like a song!
