The first year we were to be gone for 3 months I was very grieved over not getting to see them. I prayed and prayed about. I felt like to the Lord told me to start sending them post cards from every place we went. So I did! My daughter Amber would call and tell me how excited they were to get them. They even started expecting them. They were too little to read so she would read to them. After a while she said they knew about what it would say. They would begin to read before she did. Hi doll babies. How are you. I sure do miss and love you. LOL She made a big cork board for them to stick them up on. Sometimes she would hear them saying to each other what they thought the postcard said.
When Amber and the girls were coming to see us, I would tell her, call me when you are about 10 miles out and Ill walk up to the gate and meet you. You see I wanted them to know, that they were the most important people in the world to me. Then one day we went to see them. There on the corner of the street, were these two precious little girls. Waving with all their might, waiting on us.
Everybody needs to feel like they are special to somebody. The things the Lord had me doing were small things, but they always knew I was thinking about them. I guarantee you that my Smiles know without a doubt that they are the most important people in my life. Just ask them!!
You see I am God's favorite.....and so are YOU!!!
Love y'all,
Carol
