When Jeff and I first got married we noticed that every time we told the kids something they would say I know. It would aggravate us everytime. If you know then why don't you do it?? So we came up a way to fix this problem in our new family. Instead of saying I know, just say yes sir or yes ma'am. It worked. They still got to respond, but the respond was sweet instead of controversial. I was reminded of this as I was visiting with someone the other day. Sometimes we just need to be heard. We aren't really looking for a respond from the person we are talking to. So I am reminding myself again that I don't always have to have a story to match your. I'm grateful just to hear yours.
