To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord....
2 Corinthians 5:8
I won't ever get used to people passing away. No matter if you have a long time with them or it's a sudden death. I've been thinking about it a lot since Jeff passed away. I thought what a waste. A man so full of knowledge, so driven to complete the calling on his life. Then this morning when I was sittin and drinkin coffee this thought came to me. If you are saved and know Him as your Savior death isn't a punishment....it's your REWARD. I believe He said, well done my good a faithful servant Jeff Hogner. You are in the presence of our LORD!! I'm not mad about that anymore. You worked hard and you did a great job of loving folks and I couldn't have been more proud of you!!! Resting in His arms is where we all really want to be....

Carol...when I lost my grandma that thought came to me also....if we believe, really believe what we say we do...Death should be a celebration for a saved soul. It is just hard on the ones left...

Hugs Carol. Mr. Jeff has touched so many lives - and really, is STILL touching many lives. The prayers he's prayed, the words he's spoken and the love he's given still lives on. My words seem so empty when he's left such a large hole. I pray that you will continue to receive the grace you need as you live this out day by day. ...right where the rubber meets the road. That the Lover of Your soul will be your husband and fill all those holes that Mr. Jeff has left. Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ. I carry you in my heart, Carol and I pray that you will receive ALL you need in Jesus' name! Love Wanda
