Here's a message that will bring you chills. Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said, 'I'll pray for them later'? Or has anyone ever called you and said, 'I need you to pray for me, I have this need?'
God's 26 Guards
Here's a message that will bring you chills. Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said, 'I'll pray for them later'? Or has anyone ever called you and said, 'I need you to pray for me, I have this need?' Read the following story that was sent to me and may it change the way that you may think about prayer, and also the way you pray. You will be blessed by this... A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan. 'While serving at a small field hospital in Africa , every two weeks I travelled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days, and required camping overnight at the halfway point. On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital. Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord. I then travelled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident.... Two weeks later I repeated my journey upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines. He said, 'Some friends and I followed you in to the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards. At this, I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite. The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, my friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone.' At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened.. The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story: On the night of your incident in Africa , it was morning here, and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?' The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with whom they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw. There were 26. This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in behalf of those who love Him. If you ever feel such prodding to pray, go along with it, you don't know what it can mean to that person.. Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know If we all take it to heart, we can turn this world toward God once again. As the above true story clearly illustrates, With God all things are possible'. More importantly, how God hears and answers the prayers of the faithful. Prayer is our most powerful defense. I thank God everyday for y'all!! Oh how I love ya!! BlessingS Carol/MJ Psm 138:8

I actually slept in this morning. Didn't even set the alarm. AaaaaaH it was so nice. Then Lu and I watched a movie while I sat and drank a lot of coffee. I'm about to get my work out done so I can eat some of Girlie's excellent chicken and rice later. We are celebrating her birthday this evening. The whole family, you know I love that!!!
Don't forget to take time for your family, but sometimes you need to take time for you too!! Y'all have a GREAT day too!!! Oh how I love you!!!! BlessingS Carol/MJ Psm 138:8 All the way home from Montana I couldn't help but think about how grateful I am for y'all. How HE uses you to bless this ministry, my family and I. The prayers, the messages and the finances that keep us going down the road. I just want y'all to know that I don't take it for granted...BlessingS to you all and thank you for giving to the Lord!!
OH HOW I LOVE YOU ALL!! Carol/MJ Psm 138:8 I found this scripture about 7 years ago. For me its the perfect scripture. "The Lord will perfect those things that concern me...." One day at church Pastor Dave said you know Carol didn't really believe this scripture at first. She kept saying it and saying it till you couldn't convince her it's not true now.
I encourage you to find scriptures that you can believe. HE wants us to have it ALL. So practice believing HIM!! The world does not want us to succeed....but HE DOES!! Y'all have a GREAT day too!! I sure do love ya!! BlessingS, Carol/MJ Psm 138:8 A young preacher arrived in a small town to give a sermon. He needed to mail a letter, so when he saw Little Johnny he asked the young boy where the post office was.
When Johnny told him, the Preacher thanked him and said, "If you'll come to the Baptist church this evening, you can hear me telling everyone how to get to Heaven." "I don't think I'll be there," Little Johnny said. "You don't even know your way to the post office." It was just too cute not to share!! BlessingS, Carol/MJ Psm 138:8 When you thought I wasn't looking, by a Child
A message every parent should read, because your children are watching and doing as you do, not as you say. "When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that little things can be the special things in life. When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't. When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me good night and I felt loved and safe. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but its all right to cry. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be. When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be good and productive person when I grow up. When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, 'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'" Each of us - parent, grandparent or friend - influence the life of a child. -- Author Unknown BlessingS Carol/MJ Psm 138:8 Amber tried to call me one day this week. I was busy working and I couldn't answer the phone. I called her back when I had a minute and we talked. Before we hung up she said did you listen to your message? I hadn't, she said be sure and listen to it. So as soon as we hung up I did. She had Becca and Jo individually tell me "I love you Nannie"!! Boy was I needing to hear that. I had been missing them since I left Texas, LoL Last night I get a video text. It didn't come thru. All it said was If this don't make you smile, nothing will. So I texted back and said it didn't make it please try again. Well I got it. It was a picture of my little cowboy riding and bucking on his stick horse. So stickin cute, yes it made me smile!! Magen sent me a text in the middle of the day. What cha doing? Steph does that real often too. Halee texts and says have a blessed day. Lu gets me a cup of coffee. Josh keeps up with the ranch. My Girlie checkin on me.....
I think I have the most thoughtful, loving and wonderful family there is. Its not the big things, its the little things. The I love you's, the what cha doin's. I'm so very grateful for my family. That they believe in what I am doing out here. They are as much a part of this ministry as I am. Thanks for being there for me babies!! I sure do love ya!! Y'all have a GREAT day too!! BlessingS Carol/Mj Psm 138:8 I was sitting watching the roping yesterday. I was watching as someone had to get off their horse and pick a rope up. Then stepped up in the saddle. It reminded me of when I first learned to ride. I was too little to step up in the saddle. I had to use my arm strength to pull myself up in the saddle. I really hadn't ever heard or learned the term step up in the saddle. I was watching a John Wayne movie one day and he said step up in the saddle. I thought to myself why didn't I know about that. So the next time I rode I used my leg strength to just step up. Man did that make a big difference for me. My legs are much stronger than my arms. I got to thinking about that. One understood word from God can change our whole way of thinking. Just maybe having it explained different or being at a different maturity level to understand.
One of the new songs I have is FAITH. It say I don't need a faith to move a mountain, I just need a Faith that move me. Again...changed my whole way of thinking about how Faith works. If my Faith moves me than I can move the mountain. Love y'all!!!! BlessingS Carol/MJ Psm 138:8 |
